CHANGES AT THE HALF MOON
After 7 years David & Donna are leaving The Half Moon following service on Sunday 4th January 2026, for the full announcement click here. In the meantime what does this mean for you, our customers? here are a few questions answered for you…
Is the pub closing?
There is an interested party in discussions about taking over so whilst it is not 100% definite it is highly likely that new tenants will be in place and the pub will remain open, in the meantime it is business as usual! New tenants may or may not choose to close for a small period to get set up but there are no plans for any major closure or refurbishment.
When will we know for definite?
The closer we get the more certain plans will become. As soon as we are able to we will update this page with further news and we are happy to work with new tenants to ensure a smooth transition.
Are things going to be normal until you leave?
We will continue to open for food and drink service as normal up to and including the 4th January. This will be subject to our usual festive period menus and opening hours details of which can be found on our Festive period information page by clicking here.
Rest assured we will continue to offer our usual standards. The only thing that might be affected towards the last week or two is that we may be limited on some menu and drink items as we run down our stock before leaving.
Can we make advanced reservations for after the 4th January?
The current team will be unable to take bookings on behalf of any new tenant however once we are able to we will aim to provide a contact number or email for the new tenant who will be able to deal with any requests.
Can I buy gift vouchers for a Christmas present that will be valid with new tenants?
Regrettably any gift vouchers that have previously been purchased or purchased from now will only be valid up to and including Sunday 4th January.
If you have any other queries please speak to David or the current management team.
